LYME REGIS: Club raises 2,220 at annual auction

LYME Regis Football Club raised £2,220 at its annual Christmas Auction.

The auction was held last Saturday night with over 100 lots being donated by local traders, players and club supporters.

Auctioneer for the evening was Simon Flux assisted by the club’s fundraising committee members Heather Larcombe and Francesca Evans.

The highest selling lots included signed football memorabilia and a giant snowman cuddly toy, donated by Stuart Fowler.

Chairman Howard Larcombe said: “We’re really pleased with the result of this year’s auction, which is always well supported by club members and local traders.

“Thanks go to everyone who donated items and to all who supported the event.”

The money raised will go to the club’s ongoing refurbishment project, with the extended chaging rooms now nearing completion.
