HONITON: Love is in the air for Honiton Lions

LOVE was in the air on Saturday when Honiton and District Lions took to the streets to raise money for charity.

The Lions held one of their popular “wheelbarrow raffles” where a barrow filled with romantic treats was raffled to raise money for Lions’ charities and local causes.

The wheelbarrow was kindly donated by local builder and Exeter City Football player Steve Flack.

The contents, which included all the ingredients for a romantic dinner, were donated by local businesses.

Lions members John Ward, Barry Warner Bob Francis and Steve Guilbert spent the morning selling tickets, raising a total of £150.

The lucky winner was Paul Fabian from Phillips Square, Honiton, who was delighted with his prize and said he had never won anything before.
