AXMINSTER: Bedroom fire

An elderly woman was treated for shock following a bedroom fire in Axminster.

Firefighters from Axminster and Colyton were called to a property in Lyme Road at 10.03 am  on Friday when they found a first floor bedroom alight.

A hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.

Crews from Axminster, Colyton and Lyme Regis were also called to flats in West Street on Saturday afternoon where wheely bins in a storage area were on fire.
