AXMINSTER: Changes to junction at Hunters Lodge

CHANGES to the lay-out of the junction at Hunters Lodge, near Axminster, the scene of numerous road accidents over the years, may be carried out, Axminster councillors have been tiold.

Mr Brian Hoare, Devon County Council’s highways supervisor for the Axminster Area, told a meeting of Axminster Town Council’s Traffic Management Committee that possible amendments to the junction were being considered but he did not have any details.

Mr Hoare referred to a report in which five possible options were set out. Members of the committee were of the opinion that the amendments referred to by Mr Hoare were contained in a document produced several years ago.
