SIDMOUTH: College twinning visit

SIDMOUTH College will be hosting students from twin town Le Locle in Switzerland in March, town councillors have been informed.

The college has written to the council saying the twinning visit will take place in the week commencing  March 12th, and have asked whether the council would sponsor an event during the Swiss students’ stay in the town.

As an example, councillors have been informed that a fish and chip supper for the 36 students and four tutors would cost the council £220.

Town clerk Trina Jarrett will report to the full council on Monday that if members are mindful to help with the request there is £338 remaining in the council’s grant budget for 2012.
