WEYMOUTH: Good support for leukaemia charity

A COFFEE morning at the Crown Hotel in Weymouth, in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, was well attended.

The event was organised by the South Dorset branch of the charity whose chairman Gwen Elliott said: “It was nice to see so many people here. All the money we raised will go towards general research funds.”

Among those who attended was Weymouth and Portland Mayor Graham Winter who said: “I am pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile charity which does such good work throughout the year.

“It is also nice to see so many people coming through the door to support the volunteers who give up their own time for the charity.”
