WEYMOUTH: Mental health care

WEYMOUTH| PROPOSALS on urgent care mental health services for Weymouth, Portland and West Dorset were discussed at a special talk.

The event at the Crossroads Centre in Weymouth heard from clinical services development manager Joanna Nielson who said local health services were looking to develop community based services.

She added: “When a person is in a mental crisis we try and respond as quickly as possible by providing a range of choices which will fit the needs of that person.

“This talk helped gather service users’ and carers’ thoughts on what we are trying to do.”

Anyone unable to attend the meeting but who would like to put their views forward can do so by contacting Joanna on joanna.nielson@dhuft.nhs.uk.
