26th January 2012WEYMOUTH: Body found in the water at nature reserve
A MAN’S body has been found floating in a Weymouth RSPB nature reserve.
Police said they were appealing for public help in identifying the unknown man whose body was recovered from the Lodmoor reserve along Preston Road by officers from Dorset Police’s marine section.
There are no suspicious circumstances and police said the coroner has been informed.
The man is described as white, in his late 50s to mid 60s, five feet eight inches to five feet ten inches tall and of heavy build. He was clean shaven and had dark short receding hair with a bald patch.
He was wearing a black waterproof coat with a hood over a brown zip up jumper and blue jeans with black shoes. A pair of light brown, wide framed spectacles were found in a coat pocket.
Police are appealing for anyone who may know the identity of this man to contact Dorset Police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number 20: 86.
