SIDMOUTH: Students step aboard the RMS Titanic

SIDMOUTH Youth Theatre are busy rehearsing for their next production - “Titanic: The Unsinkable Dream”.

More than 90 Sidmouth College students will be involved in this year’s production, which commemorates the 100-year anniversary of the tragic sinking of the  Titanic, under the direction of Angela Davies, Head of Drama at Sidmouth College.

She said: “It promises to be a dramatic piece of musical theatre, from the excitement of the construction of the ship to the tragic sinking and beyond, the young cast has really embraced the history and the reality of an event that shook the world.”

The show will feature songs ranging from waltzes to Ragtime and Irish jigs.

There are tickets still available for all performances.

The performances will be held at the Manor Pavilion, Sidmouth and will run from Tuesday, January 31st to Saturday February 4th , with an additional matinee performance on February 4th.

Tickets can be bought from Sidmouth College Hall at lunchtimes between 1.30pm and 2.15pm with adult tickets priced at £10 and under 16s at £6.
