AXMINSTER: Butchers' support for local good causes

COMPLETE Meats in Axminster handed out £200 to local organisations as part of its twice-yearly donations to worthy local causes.

Staff of Complete Meats presented cheques for £50 each to children from Axminster Under 11s Cricket Club and Kilmington Pre-School, Heather Lee of Axminster Choral Society and Owen Jones, Sarah Grimshaw and Nigel Ball, who recently organised a clay pigeon shooting and open garden in aid of Help For Heroes.

The cheques were presented in Complete Meats’ twice-annual draw, in which the company selects 10 names from local organisations in Axminster, Honiton and Chard to donate to, rather than giving vouchers away to raffles and other fundraising events during the year.
